Local Markets. The choices for market in Newcastle is great.  We have local farmers market and artisan and vintage markets.  Special event markets and school fetes.

On a regular basis is the Newcastle Farmers Market held at The Newcastle Show Ground in Broadmeadow.  About a 10 minute drive from Cooks Hill Parkside.  The fresh produce is in abundance and there is always something new and fresh.  Food trucks will keep your apetite at bay and coffee is there too.  These markets are on every Sunday from 8am, check their website for updates  http://www.newcastlecityfarmersmarket.com.au/page16376/Home.asp

Olive Tree Markets.  Newcastle artisan and food market.  Held at local Civic Park.  A short walk will get you to the market.  Amazing local artisan showcasing their wares, local musicians and food galore.  Soak up the tunes and atmosphere.  The markets are held on the first Saturday of the month, form 9am to 3pm.  Check their website for stall holder info and dates.  Totally my fav market.  http://www.theolivetreemarket.com.au/

Hunt & Gather Markets in Newcastle East, are a boutique designer market in Pacific Park Newcastle East.  Local Market vendors are selling all things from fashion, homewares, art, gourmet foods and vintage finds.  The entertainment can be enjoyed from 2 areas, my choice is under the rambling fig tree.  This market is on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9am to 2pm.   More stall holder info etc here  http://huntandgathermarkets.com.au/

The Impossible – is a Sunday afternoon (4pm to 9pm) market held on the second Sunday of the month, at The Edwards Bar in Parry St, Newcastle West.  Just past Market Town shopping centre.  The Impossible market stallholders change regularly, and often the markets are themed.  So close and then enjoy food and cold drinks at the bar afterwards.  http://www.theimpossiblemarket.com/
